Keep rostering and approving timesheets in ShiftCare. AutonAI applies your configured SCHADS rules, handles the details that make payroll difficult, and presents one clear review before the result moves to Xero.

SCHADS rules covered

  • Minimum engagement: two paid hours, applied once when related shifts are consolidated.
  • Weekday loadings: ordinary hours from 6am–8pm, afternoon when a shift finishes after 8pm, and night when it starts before 6am or finishes after midnight.
  • Weekends and public holidays: Saturday, Sunday and declared public-holiday hours are classified separately.
  • Overtime thresholds: after 10 paid hours in a day, or after 38 weekly / 76 fortnightly hours when the ShiftCare pay cycle is confirmed.
  • Overtime rates: the first two eligible overtime hours are classified at 1.5×, then 2×; Sunday overtime is 2× and public-holiday overtime is 2.5×.
  • Day-worker spans: time outside 6am–8pm is classified as overtime when the worker profile requires it.
  • Sleepovers and active overnights: an eligible eight-hour sleepover is separated from worked time before and after, while approved Awake Time remains separate from the sleepover allowance.
  • Broken shifts: where automatic detection is configured, one- and two-break allowances are applied and paid work after a 12-hour span is classified at double time.
